Head of Production and Merchandising (Italian Speaking)
This role is responsible for overseeing production and stock levels by planning and developing merchandising strategies. This position will be the link between the Brand, suppliers and producers, ensuring production times and delivery schedules are met. Analysing and monitoring sales and stock levels in conjunction with the supply figures will be necessary in determining the accurate future stock levels for online and retail.
The successful candidate will be required to meet with textile suppliers in Italy, plan the production of ranges as well as manage deliveries and distribute stock accordingly. Agreeing timescales, negotiating cost and creating forecasts based on previous sales will be vital to ensure stock fulfils demand. Identifying production and supply challenges and problem solving will be key skills required.
This position will be in frequent communication with the CEO and Head of Retail and Operations to assess supply and demand as well as analyse the best sellers and monitor the slower selling items, taking action to increase demand. Skills & Essential Requirements:
2 - 3 years of production and merchandising experience
Ability to negotiate and problem solve
Strong organisational skills and attention to details with an ability to deal with a number of tasks and priorities
Fluency in both English and Italian (verbal and written)
High level of IT literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, calendar
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate to suppliers, producers and to all levels within the business
Strong work ethic and ability to react positively with sudden and unexpected changes in demand
